Victoria Beckham has eaten the exact same meal every day for the past 25 years.
The former Spice Girls member, 49, runs a fashion empire and is well known for her slender figure.
Her husband, David Beckham, 48, has opened up about how she achieves her slim frame and it turns out, it’s all down to a habit she’s followed for a huge portion of her life.
Appearing on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast, the former footballer says that while he gets ’emotional’ about food, his wife doesn’t seem to have the same passion.
The father-of-four explains: “I get quite emotional about food and wine. When I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it.
“Unfortunately, I’m married to someone who has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years.”
David says that Victoria rarely strays from her favourite dish.
“Since I’ve met Victoria, she only eats grilled fish with steamed vegetables. She’ll very rarely deviate away from there,” he says.
David remembers fondly the one time Victoria relaxed her diet to enjoy something from his plate.
“The only time she’s shared something that’s been on my plate is when she was pregnant with Harper, and it was the most amazing thing,” he says.
“It was one of my favourite evenings. I can’t remember what it was, but I know she’s not eaten it since.”
Following David’s revelation about how strictly Victoria has kept to her diet over the years, the fashion designer explains it in more detail.
In an interview with Vogue Australia, the star jokingly says that her husband made her out to ‘boring’, while adding that she is just ‘very disciplined’ when it comes to dieting.
Victoria says: “I mean, talk about making me sound boring.”
She continues: “No. What he meant is that he’s never met anyone who’s more disciplined with the way that they eat.
“I eat lots of healthy fat: fish, avocado, nuts, that sort of thing. I do drink alcohol unless I have a reason not to. I’ll detox from anything for three to six months where I won’t drink.
“I’m quite extreme in anything I do, whether it’s eating or working out or drinking or not drinking.”
Victoria goes on to reveal her exercise routine, which involves 30-minute uphill runs on the treadmill, regular pilates and ‘gruelling one-hour weights sessions’.
She also takes skin supplements, drinks apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning and puts collagen peptide powder in her coffee – and admits that she ‘loves’ a health retreat.
