The sports world is praying for retired NFL star Terrell Owens after reports reveal he was hit by a car.
According to Yahoo!, Owens was hit by the vehicle on Monday night. The incident occurred after a pickup game of basketball.
Owens was in Calabasas, California when he reportedly got involved in a verbal dispute with someone he was playing basketball with. The dispute then escalated when the other person got into their car and drove it towards Owens’ knee.
Owens was struck by the car and law enforcement was called to the scene. TMZ reports that emergency medical assistance was not needed.
While no arrests were made at the scene, officers reported took a report for “assault with a deadly weapon.”
