The Man Is Racked With Guilt And Confesses To His Neighbor

Bob, furious and heartbroken after reading the message, storms into the bedroom where his wife is sitting. Without hesitation, he confronts her, accusing her of betrayal and demanding an explanation. Shocked and confused, his wife insists she has no idea what he’s talking about.

Still seething, Bob shows her the text. As she reads it, her expression shifts from confusion to realization—and then laughter. She quickly explains, “Honey, he’s talking about our dog! He’s been taking her out for walks while we’re at work. Remember? You asked him to help when you started working late.”

Bob freezes, embarrassed and speechless. The wording of the message, intentionally vague and suggestive, had completely thrown him off. What he thought was a confession of an affair was actually just a neighbor’s guilty admission of spending too much time playing with their dog behind his back.

Later, Bob texts his neighbor back:
“Apologies, Bob. Misunderstood your message. Thanks for walking Bella. I owe you a drink.”
