Mom Stands Up to School After Daughter’s Lunchbox Was Stolen
A mother shared how her 6-year-old daughter’s $50 bento box was stolen by a classmate, Audrey. Despite reporting it, the teacher dismissed it as “just a lunchbox.” The girl had a history of bullying, and the school had done nothing to stop it.
The next day, the mom went to school, where Audrey showed up with the lunchbox, claiming it was hers. But when asked to open it, her daughter’s name was clearly inside.
Instead of returning it immediately, the teacher suggested Audrey keep it for the day since her food was already in it. Frustrated, the mom dumped the food in the trash and took back the box.
Though some, including her sister, said she went too far, the mom stood by her decision, saying her daughter shouldn’t lose what’s hers to a bully. She plans to switch schools soon.
Many online praised her: “Your daughter got to see you defend her—that means everything.”

I love that your daughter got to see you defending her like that, it would have meant everything to me to have my mom defend me so passionately when I was bullied as a kid! Keep doing what you’re doing! © Feckupayme / Reddit
