Jennifer Love Hewitt Responds to Speculation That She Underwent Cosmetic Surgery on Her Face

On August 25, Jennifer Love Hewitt took to Instagram to show off her new hairstyle. The 44-year-old decided to do away with her blonde locks and opted for a red-brown bob haircut with autumn right around the corner. “When a woman wants to change her life. She cuts her hair short,” she wrote on her Story.

A lot of fans were quick to express their approval of the new haircut – after all, it does suit her well and it’s obviously what she wanted. Unfortunately, some fans overlooked the haircut and, instead, accused her of undergoing cosmetic surgery on her face – something that wasn’t true and was, in fact, just plain rude.

While she didn’t respond to the comments right away, she eventually spoke up and set the record straight on September 3. Taking to her Instagram Story, she posted a series of sarcastic selfies using funny filters that quite literally changed her appearance – all while confirming that she ‘couldn’t be more natural.’

“So many people said I look different. … I look the same as always. … Couldn’t look more natural. … I woke up like this. … Filters don’t change you that much,” she wrote in the first five selfies. “JK. But seriously let people be filtered or unfiltered. Be good. Be kind. Spread love,” she added in a sixth selfie.

She followed her selfies up with a video calling out all the commenters who accused her of undergoing a  brow-lifting procedure. “I don’t what that — I didn’t even know you could lift your brows like that,” she says. “The only thing that I’ve done is microblading with Audrey [Glass], who I love,” she said in the video.

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup that uses a small handheld device with tiny needles to apply tattoo-like strokes to the eyebrows to mimic hair – allowing patients to achieve the eyebrow shape they’ve always dreamed of. Audrey Glass is a popular microblading artist whom Love Hewitt swears by.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Shouts Out Selena Gomez

After shouting out Audrey Glass for her incredible microblading skills, Jennifer Love Hewitt proceeded to share another “secret” she has for keeping her eyebrows looking their absolute best at all times – Brow Harmony Flexible Lifting Gel by Rare Beauty (the beauty line created by none other than Selena Gomez).

“I have been using this product and I’m noticing people bringing up my brows. I don’t have anything on them today really, except this product, but it’s the Rare Beauty lifting gel stuff,” she said in the video. Selena founded the beauty line in February 2019 and launched the company in September 2020.

“I mean, Selena, ‘thank you’ is all I can say. I love it, so I’m going to put it up so that you know what it is, but that’s what it is. That is the brow-lifting that people are talking about. That’s all I got,” Jennifer Love Hewitt continued. So, there you have it – no cosmetic surgery, just beauty products and microblading.

Later that day, Jennifer Love Hewitt posted a video of her working out – with her new hair in pigtails – and rewarding herself with a healthy lunch. She also recently celebrated her son’s (Aidan James) 2nd birthday – which was Hot-Wheels-themed. She shares three children in total with her husband, Brian Hallisay.
