Tyra Banks returned to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after a nearly 20-year absence from modeling, and of course her return was nothing short of iconic.

Well, depends who you ask.

Banks, 50, began modeling for Victoria’s Secret in the early ’90s, walking in the famous fashion show for nine years. When her contract came to an end she was handed another, but instead chose to retire.

She recently admitted to Harper’s Bazaar that she didn’t believe she could be a model and a talk show host at the same time.

“I decided that ‘No, I need to be a talk show host and I need to be trusted for my words. I don’t think I can be taken seriously if I am still a model,’ and maybe that was true at that time,” she said.

“I think the world has changed to see that, as women, we don’t have to be a stereotype and to fit into one mold,” the multi-hyphenate explained. “And so I feel very excited and fortunate to come back and celebrate all of myself and not feel like I have to cut off a piece to be taken seriously.”

The America’s Next Top Model legend strutted her way down the catwalk to close out the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Many were thrilled to see the original VS Angel wearing a black bustier adorned with crystals, a silver cape, black leggings, and strappy heels. However, others couldn’t help but notice she wasn’t wearing the iconic VS wings.

Those who weren’t focused on her outfit were zoned in on her walk.

“I don’t think she’d get past the first round of America’s Top Model with that walk. Sorry, I said it,” one user commented, referencing the high standard ANTM held.

“She just ain’t got it anymore! She looks like she’s about to fall down in those heels,” another observed.

“Remember when she used to call size 4 models plus size?” someone else wrote.

“Did Tyra always walk like this? I just noticed it’s pretty bad… like sloppy bad. [sic]” a comment read.

While there were plenty of negative comments, a number of people stuck up for Banks.

“Tyra is a legend and everyone loved ANTM back in the day… give it a rest already.”

“Definition of ‘I still got it and never lost it’”

“You looked AMAZINGGGGGGG  Back like you NEVER left.”

I don’t see anything wrong with how Tyra Banks looked or walked!
