Whoopi Goldberg storms off set as The View co-hosts weigh in on Miranda Lambert drama

A fiery debate on ABC’s “The View” was fueled by a viral video of Miranda Lambert scolding fans for taking selfies during her Las Vegas concert. Co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg clashed over the incident. Sunny defended concertgoers’ right to take selfies, saying, “If I paid $757 for tickets, I’m going to take as many selfies as I want.” In response, Whoopi emphasized the need for respect, stating, “Give me the respect of watching me while I do my thing, or don’t come.”

The controversy began when Lambert interrupted her concert, expressing frustration with selfie-taking fans. Whoopi, supporting the singer, abruptly left her seat, telling Sunny, “Turn on the television, girl.” The unexpected twist, where Whoopi took a selfie with an audience member, added humor to the debate, leading to laughter and a commercial break.

Despite backlash, some fans defended Lambert. One attendee, Lindsey, shared firsthand experience, saying, “Team @mirandalambert she owes no one an apology. Saw it all first hand.”
