We have often heard that love knows no boundaries and sometimes, we see evidence of this in the most touching ways. When we see evidence of this love, it really makes us think about how much emotion means to us and it can change lives.

This includes a picture that was taken of a couple in China. The elderly Chinese couple had been married for almost 70 years and they found themselves in intensive care, put into a position where they would demonstrate their love in the greatest way.

The picture was taken by the head nurse at the hospital in the intensive care unit, Wang Yanfang. The hospital is located in Zhejiang Province, eastern China.

Feng Ming is a 92-year-old man who had been sent to intensive care after he suffered from heart failure. His condition was deteriorating and his organs were failing, and then he ended up with a lung infection.

Since he was not able to talk, he had to express himself in different ways. At this point in his life, he was kept alive by a life support machine. He knew that his life was coming to an end.

That is when his family made the choice to stop therapy and bring him home. Before he left the hospital, however, he wanted to see his wife. They had been married for 66 years.

His 95-year-old wife, Zhang Ping was also at the hospital because she had a fractured femur.

According to the head nurse: “The visiting hour of the ICU is from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm, but Feng’s condition is too severe to wait till then.” They arrange for the elderly couple to meet for the final time.

When his wife was transferred into the room on a stretcher, he saw her. Wang then spoke about the story, saying she grabbed her husband’s hand and said: “Don’t worry about me. Rest assured that I can take good care of myself.”

Feng cried when he heard those words and eventually passed away a few hours later at home.
