Taylor Swift And Alison Krauss Illuminate The Stage With “When You Say Nothing At All”

Back in September 25, 2015, Taylor Swift was enchanting the crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena as part of her highly praised 1989 World Tour. Renowned for her love of surprises, Swift had a tradition of bringing out special guests during her tour stops, treating fans to unexpected collaborations and unforgettable performances.

Throughout her tour, Swift shared the stage with an impressive roster of artists, including Little Big Town, Nick Jonas, Andy Grammer, Sam Hunt, and many others. However, it was her Nashville concerts that truly stole the spotlight.

During the show, Swift thrilled fans by inviting Kelsea Ballerini to join her for a rendition of “Love Me Like You Mean It.” The iconic Steven Tyler also made a memorable appearance, singing “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” alongside Swift. However, it was the arrival of Alison Krauss that left a lasting mark on country music enthusiasts.

As Swift began playing the familiar intro to “When You Say Nothing At All,” originally made famous by Keith Whitley in 1988, the crowd erupted with excitement. Swift’s solo performance of the first verse set the stage for what would become an unforgettable moment. Then, to the audience’s delight, Swift introduced Alison Krauss, sparking a frenzy of applause throughout the arena.

In a beautiful display of musical harmony, Swift gracefully transitioned into a supporting role as Krauss took center stage, showcasing her angelic soprano vocals. Together, they breathed new life into the timeless classic, captivating the audience with their heartfelt rendition.

At that time, the video featuring the incredible collaboration was shared widely on social media and got much attention. Great compliments were clearly seen in the comment sessions such as “One of my favorites by Alison Krause, then add Taylor it’s great too.”

One YouTube viewer wrote, “I’m an unexpected fan of Allison & Taylor, BUT I am a Performing MUSICIAN 40+ Of ALL Genres. This Performance really “GOT ME” when I recently came across it.”
