We live in a world where the morals of individuals are changing regularly. In some cases, however, people tend to hold onto their morals and they aren’t afraid to express them.
This became evident during a photo shoot in Naples, Italy. It involved Serena de Ferrari and British model Kyshan Wilson, who were taking part in the event and they were kissing on the street.
It may have seemed like a normal event, and nobody would have batted an eye but not everybody agrees with same-sex relationships. This includes an unidentified nun, who was irritated by the situation and walked up to the models.
The nuns split them up and began shouting, in Italian: “What are you doing? This is the devil’s work.” The models, in the meantime, were giggling at what was happening.
After being posted, there were many people who voiced their opinions. Some were saying that it was wrong to try to force religion on others but there were also those who said that the models should have been more sympathetic and not have made fun of her for doing what she did.
One of the makeup artists at the photo shoot, Roberta Mastalia described the incident this way: “We were on location in the Spanish Quarter in Naples, in a little sidestreet with the two models when all of a sudden the nun walked past. She asked us if we had been to Mass that day, and when we said ‘No,’ she started blaming young people for [the pandemic].
“Then she saw the two models posing up ready to kiss, and that’s when she ran forward to split them up.”
Mastalia added: “Our first reaction was we were all stunned, then we took it as a bit of a joke, and in fact, as you can see from the video, the two girls are laughing. We then had to ask the nun to leave as we explained we had work to do, and she slowly walked off.”
The models both shared the incident on their Instagram pages, along with some pictures of the photo shoot.
This is one of those situations that just seems to capture the attention of others. It is a hot-button topic, and I’m sure it will continue to be debated many times in the future.
