Toto’s iconic song “Africa” has been recorded by musicians all over the world since 1982. However, this version, sung by Los Angeles’ Angel City Chorale, is by far the most distinctive rendition of the song I’ve ever heard.
The big choir begins the traditional hymn by rubbing their palms together. The sound is extremely modest at first, but if you listen attentively, you’ll notice that it sounds like a gentle rain falling. After a minute, the “rain” becomes louder as the noises made by the choir members’ hands grow to resemble heavy rain in a thunderstorm! And that’s only the beginning of the song!
Watch and share this incredible cover of “Africa” with your friends!
Please keep in mind that the sound in the first minute of the movie is quite quiet, and you may need to raise the volume.
