When you lose someone you love, it’s difficult to handle the heartbreak and feelings of grief and loss. But no matter how hard it is, you have to accept that they have passed away and you have to live happily. They wouldn’t want you to hold yourself back because of your grief for them. They want you to honor their memory in a healthy way. Therefore, many people come up with the idea of getting meaningful tattoos to help them remember the people they’ve lost.
Like a woman named Anna Halcin, whose sweet tattoo in memory of her late dog is melting hearts across the internet.

Halcin and her beloved dog, Sebastian, were inseparable best friends. They shared a strong bond that no one could break. Sadly, their happy time couldn’t last forever. Last October, Sebastian passed away, leaving Halcin devastated.

“He was special to me, and always will be,” Halcin said. “We were absolutely best friends.
In the midst of her grief, she decided to get a sweet tattoo to tribute to her late best friend. Sebastian loved wrapping his paws around her arm, so she chose a design that mirrored his favorite pose. This tattoo reminds her that even though he has gone, he will always be there to comfort her when she needs it most.

“I wanted something that was always with me, no matter what, and a tattoo seemed just perfect. Now, every time I look down, it’s like he is hugging me. That’s helped me cope quite a bit,” Halcin said.

Through that tattoo in his honor, Sebastian continues to live in his mom’s heart. Halcin shared photos of her tattoo online, and it quickly went viral. Many users praised the body art and shared stories about their own stories. Anna thanked them all for their support.
“So many people messaged me after that; showing me the pictures of their similar-looking dogs; and I see him in each one of them,” Halcin said. “I like to think it’s him saying, ‘Hi, Mama,’ each time.”
