When we have a mild headache, we often will take an aspirin and perhaps a nap, but we never think that it is going to be anything serious. Unfortunately, it was very serious 41 8-year-old girl, who passed away in her sleep.
The young child complained of having a headache on the day that she died suddenly but she didn’t have any other symptoms. Zali June Breitkreutz, the young girl was just getting ready to start her fourth year of school, but the family is now devastated.
Her father, Sean Breitkreutz spoke about the situation to the local papers. He said: “I just don’t know what to say. It’s simply a tragedy.”
A few days after she died, the family went on Facebook to post a statement and announced the news to friends and family. The statement read: “Zali was always singing, cartwheeling and making us laugh. Driving us crazy, setting us off and pushing our buttons were a daily routine.
“The past days have been a little darker (and a lot quieter) without her shining light, though we are blessed to still have her brother Tanner by our side.
“We have received so much love and support from our nearest and dearest who have made the last few days slightly easier for us.”
They feel that her death was caused by a condition known as an intracerebral haemorrhage, which is a type of stroke. It to put it in more common language, it is typically called a brain bleed.
Prior to the time that she died, her father said that she did not have any other symptoms. He said: “There was nothing that could be done, no symptoms, just a minor headache.”
