Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan said of Treat Williams’ death, “We lost a good one.”

Treat Williams’ sudden death in a horrific motorcycle accident has saddened the CBS cast of Blue Bloods.

His colleagues were shocked and grieved to learn of his demise, and they are now paying their respects to the late co-star.

Williams, a brilliant actor who played the recurrent character Lenny Ross in the popular crime drama, had a close friendship with Tom Selleck, who played New York City police commissioner Frank Reagan.

Reflecting on the fleeting nature of life, Selleck, 78, voiced his tremendous regret, stating, “It has been said that we are all just passing the time and occupying our chairs for a very brief period.”

Treat, my friend, was nicely positioned in his chair and had a great name. I’ll miss him, but I’ll never forget him.”

Bridget Moynahan, who portrays Erin Reagan on the show, called Williams a “actor’s actor” who made working with him a “absolute pleasure.”

She also appreciated his off-screen attitude, praising his love and dedication to his family. “Folks,” Moynahan added, “we lost a good one.”

Vanessa Ray, who plays Eddie Janko-Reagan’s wife on the program, praised Williams in an Instagram post.

Ray remembered a heartwarming occasion when Williams discovered she was in the Broadway version of Hair and serenaded her with a song from the show.

She wished him a nice rest and hailed him as a clever, compassionate, and attractive artist.

Williams frequently shared views of the Blue Bloods set on social media before his sad accident. In one notable post, he shared a selfie with Selleck and expressed his appreciation for working with the veteran actor.

Williams referred to them as “old pros” in the caption, emphasizing their everyday experience and friendliness.

Williams’ agent of 15 years, Barry McPherson, confirmed his death, praising the actor’s brilliance and gentle character. “He was an actor’s actor,” McPherson said.

The film industry adored him. Since the late 1970s, he has been the beating heart of Hollywood.”

Williams was killed in a car accident near his home in Vermont. According to Fire Chief Jacob Gribble, Williams was struck by a car while driving his motorcycle on Route 30 near Dorset, Vermont.

According to preliminary investigations, the car’s driver failed to detect Williams’ motorcycle while making a bend, resulting in the crash.

Williams was critically injured and was evacuated to a hospital in Albany, New York, where he was tragically pronounced dead. An inquiry into the incident is currently underway by the police.

Gregory Smith, Laura Dern, Marilu Henner, Jonathan Bennett, Melissa Gilbert, and Kim Cattrall have all offered heartfelt condolences to the late actor.

The outpouring of love and remembrance attests to Williams’ impact on the lives of those who knew him.

His legacy as a skilled and caring person will live on in the hearts of his colleagues and fans alike.
