We all like to remember the day that we were married but every year, we get to remember it in a very special way. This is during the wedding anniversary, and with each passing year, they get more and more special.

There are some wedding anniversaries that tend to be more special than others. Perhaps we may think about the 10th anniversary or the 25th.

Some people will make it to their 50th anniversary but the 60th anniversary is truly special. It’s an occasion that very few couples are able to experience together, but Janith Goedde was able to experience it with her husband, Joe.

In order to celebrate the day, she decided to take her own wedding dress and show it off again.

She did more than simply take it out and show it to people at the anniversary party, she was able to put it on and wear it.

Many brides try to fit in their wedding dress after a few years of marriage but it isn’t always the easiest thing to do. Janith and her husband Joe were able to enjoy the wedding dress again after 60 years of marriage.

The couple was married in Haubstadt, Indiana and there was an announcement in the local newspaper. People were amazed at how beautiful her dress was back then, and it held this description: “For her wedding, the bride chose a floor-length gown of imported Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin, fastened down the back with tiny covered buttons. The fitted lace bodice was designed with Sabrina neckline and embroidered in pearlized sequins. The long sleeves tapered over the wrists.”

You may wonder how she was able to maintain the dress for so long. Actually, she didn’t do anything special as she didn’t even keep it in a storage bag or give it any treatments. Despite that, it still looked beautiful.

We are so happy for this lovely couple and hope they have many more years of marriage together.
