Still: A Michael J. Fox Film
At the festival, Fox’s documentary titled “Still: A Michael J. Fox Film” was also showcased, providing a glimpse into his life, both fictional and real.
“I want to talk about Parkinson’s, but I don’t want to make a film about Parkinson’s,” Fox explained, choosing to depict life’s overall journey rather than focusing solely on his condition.
A Brave Revelation
In 2013, Michael J. Fox made a courageous decision to publicly announce his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis, setting aside any fear of judgment or ridicule.
Prior to the revelation, paparazzi gathered outside his house, mocking him and demanding, ‘What’s the matter with you?’” Fox recalled. However, his decision to share his condition was ultimately deemed “great” as it protected his neighbors from unnecessary attention.
