Builder Wins £105 Million But He Still Finishes A Job Before Quitting

We sometimes hear stories about people doing kind things and it really makes us believe in humanity again. Some of the kindness may come from the most unexpected sources, and perhaps that is where Steve Thompson comes in.

Steve Thompson won the lottery Euromillions back in 2019. At first, he thought that he had won £105 thousand but after looking at the paper, he realized he had actually won £105 million.

What do you do when you suddenly find yourself worth millions of dollars? Thompson did what most people would do, he closed his business and bought a larger home.

There was something else that he did, however, and that is where it really shows the true colors of Thompson and what he was willing to do. He owned a conservatory and window installation business, and he was busy in it.

When he won the money, he decided that he would go ahead and finish the job that he had open. Even better, he wasn’t going to charge the neighbor who was having the work done, so they could use the cash for Christmas.

The neighbor said: “He didn’t charge. It shows he’s a top bloke, a decent man.

“We didn’t ask him about the win because he’s probably had enough of talking about it.

“I think it’s quite nice for him to be able to work still because it takes his mind off the pressures of what to do with the money.”

This wasn’t the only thing that he did with his money that was time. He and his wife reportedly donated £200,000 to the village where they live as well.

He spoke to the newspaper, saying: “It’s so much money I’m going to be generous. I live in a small village, it’s a nice village, I don’t want to leave the village, so whatever I can do in the community, I will.”
