Whoopi Goldberg Stays Single To Avoid Being Invested In Their Feelings

People watch The View because you never quite know when somebody is going to say something noteworthy. It can get interesting at times, that is especially true when Whoopi Goldberg gets involved.

Recently, Whoopi Goldberg was talking about why she is not suited for marriage. She was on the ‘Who Is Talking to Chris Wallace’ television show when she dropped the bombshell. Of course, we are used to her talking about a wide range of information, especially now that she is a cohost of The View.

In this particular instance, however, she went on to explain why she has not been successful in marriage. She had appeared on the show and I don’t know if the host was ready for her to talk about this type of relationship. Even so, he asked her about her three previous marriages.

Basically, she said that she had never loved any of her ex-husbands. He went on to ask her why she was not meant for marriage and she said: “No, I don’t, I don’t care how you feel. It’s terrible. You know, when you’re married to somebody, you have to be invested in how they’re feeling. I am not.”

She didn’t leave a shadow of a doubt that she was committed to her family but she is not interested in having a romantic relationship. She said: “I’m invested in my kid. I’m invested in her kids. I’m invested in my son-in-law. I’m invested in my friends. But I’m not invested in a relationship that would require as much as having a child requires and I know that that’s not for me.”

She also spoke about her view on being with others, saying: “I know you’re not supposed to say that but I think you must say it because not everybody is meant to be married. But many people enjoy, you know, sex. So sometimes a little hit and run is not bad.”

This isn’t the first time that she discussed her view of marriage and undoubtedly, it will not be the last time. In the past, she admitted that she wanted to feel normal so she got married to have a normal life. These days, however, her view seems to be quite different.
