Who is Jake Bongiovi? Meet Jon Bon Jovi’s son and Millie Bobby Brown’s fiance -

Stranger Things fans got major news this week after Millie Bobby Brown, who stars as Eleven on the hit Netflix series, hinted that she was engaged to her boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi.

If her husband-to-be looks familiar, it might be due to his resemblance to his famous dad: rock star Jon Bon Jovi. Jake is the musician’s third-oldest child.

Engaged to Millie Bobby Brown

Bongiovi, 20, and Brown, 19, are reportedly engaged. The two have been a couple since 2021.

The announcement generated mixed reactions from fans, many of whom believe Millie Bobby Brown is too young to be getting married already — after all, most of us watched her grow up from childhood on Stranger Things.

But the couple appear to be smitten with each other. Bongiovi shared photos of the two on Instagram, captioning the post “Forever 🤍”

Brown also shared her own photo, captioning it with the Taylor Swift lyrics, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”

In November, Brown revealed she first met her fiance over social media. “We met on Instagram, and we were friends for a bit, and then, what can I say?” she told Wired.

The couple made their red carpet debut together at the 2022 BAFTA Awards last March.

Jon Bon Jovi’s son

While Brown is the more famous of the two, Bongiovi is show biz royalty himself: he’s the son of iconic rock star Jon Bon Jovi. You can definitely see the resemblance between Jake and his famous dad back in the day.

The “Livin’ on a Prayer” rocker has four kids with his wife Dorothea Hurley. Dorothea was his high school sweetheart and the two have been married since 1989.

Jake is the third-oldest of the couple’s four children. His siblings are Stephanie Rose, 29, Jesse, 28, and Romeo, 19.

According to NJ.com, Jake was an activist in high school and organized a school walkout to call for action against school shootings. “It’s enough. It’s happened too many times that we watch it,” Jake told the outlet when he was 15.

Jake attended Syracuse University. An Instagram post showed Jake in Syracuse gear alongside his proud parents, and the rock star reportedly helped his son move in. But according to the university, Jake did not return for sophomore year.

Jake may look like his famous dad, but he doesn’t plan on following his footsteps as a rock star — instead, he has acting aspirations.

While he has yet to make his debut, he has two projects in production: he was cast in the HBO Max feature Sweethearts, which wrapped production in August 2022.

He was also cast in the comedy Rockbottom, reportedly about a hair metal band. Jake will play the character of Justin, the “potential new lead singer” who “must overcome stage fright to lead the band back to glory,” per Variety.
