Vikings Rookie And Three Others Die Tragically In Accident

Sports are something that fills our lives with excitement. It also helps us to get closer to those who will play the sport, and it seems as if we appreciate them on a personal level.

That is why it is so sad when a sports hero passes away, especially when they do so at a young age. Unfortunately, that is what happened to Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson, who died at only 24 years of age recently.

The Maryland native played for Oregon in 2023 and only recently joined the Vikings in pro ball. He was in his hometown of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, when a car accident took his life.

The news of his death was confirmed by his former coach at Oregon. Another report also let us know that three of his high school teammates also lost their lives in this tragic accident.

“AJ Lytton, who played at Penn State and Florida State in college, and Isaiah Hazel, who played for Maryland and Charlotte. The trio won state championships at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School (MD) in 2016.”

The accident occurred in the predawn hours of July 6. Hazel and Jackson were dead on the scene and Lytton was taken to the University of Maryland Hospital and pronounced dead by the medical staff.

May he rest in peace.
