In the end, he didn’t stick with the aviation industry but he did get involved as an actor when he was only 18 years old. He was known for his part in the television show Welcome Back Kotter but would leave to pursue a larger acting career.

He met Kelly Preston in 1989 and they were married just a few years later. They lived a life together for 28 years but unfortunately, she died of breast cancer in 2020. John Travolta was devastated at the loss.
