‘She was the kind of person who, upon seeing an injustice, immediately began to speak up against it, and she never ceased doing so.’

According to TODAY, Elizabeth Taylor founded the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) in 1991 and the American Foundation for AIDS Research in 1985. Both organizations’ founding members included Taylor.

The entire family has made an effort to get engaged in the foundation because they want to carry on Taylor’s advocacy and dedication to the cause.

They place a great deal of importance on this. Even Quinn, Taylor’s grandson, participates in running ETAF.

In accordance with his biography, which is available to read on the foundation’s website, Quinn has served the company as both an official and an ambassador, repping it both nationally and abroad.

Additionally, he is acting as a co-trustee of Taylor’s estate at her desire.

Quinn expressed his opinion that Taylor would be quite pleased to see the foundation remain active and helpful in a 2021 interview with PEOPLE. He clarified:

The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation was founded by my grandmother Elizabeth Taylor thirty years ago to provide direct care for people with HIV and AIDS as well as others whose lives have been affected by the illness.

I feel honoured to see ETAF carry on with her work, which includes enlightening lawmakers, increasing public knowledge, dispelling falsehoods, and reducing stigma and fear.

Although the fight is far from ended, I am thrilled to see ETAF carry on her work because the fight against HIV/AIDS was such a significant part of her legacy. Grandma would definitely appreciate this effort, I’m sure of it.

The project’s goal is to change the laws to make them more consistent with current scientific knowledge by tackling the issues on a state-by-state basis.

Quinn added that Grandma would have been quite happy with the work being done through the ‘HIV Is Not A Crime’ project.

Grandma always stood up for what she believed in and lived her life to the utmost. She wouldn’t cave to pressure from others, and she wouldn’t defend the status quo if she didn’t think it served the interests of the populace.

Quinn not only honors his late grandmother’s memory by continuing the traditions she started, but he also remarkably resembles her, especially in the vibrant eyes he got from her.

Given that Taylor’s grandchildren have proven to be lovely on the inside as well as the outside, it is reasonable to assume that her memory will live on forever.
