The stunning interior of Elvis Presley’s 1962 private plane has finally been auctioned.

Elvis Presley was much more than just an accomplished performer with a lovely voice. He also had exquisite design and taste, particularly when it came to his jet.

In 1962, Elvis received his personalized aircraft, a Lockheed Jetstar model that was built to his specifications and furnished with mahogany woodwork, plush crimson velvet sofas, and plush carpeting. Even the most discerning reviewer would be amazed by the interior’s beauty.

Elvis Presley’s airplane remained dormant for more than three decades before it was turned into a well-liked tourist destination near Roswell, New Mexico, after he passed away in 1977.

But it was recently auctioned off in Florida for the astounding sum of $260,000 to a caller claiming to be an Elvis fan. This aircraft rose to fame as a representation of the King of Rock’s legacy and impeccable sense of flair.

When Elvis and his father, Vernon Presley, first took flight in their personal aircraft, they must have felt exhilarated and awestruck.

No cost has been spared in order to deliver the ideal travel experience. In fact, Elvis showed off his extraordinary creative talent and attention to detail even in the heavens. It comes as no surprise that his plane evolved into an iconic part of his legacy years after his passing.

Elvis Presley’s aircraft, named Lisa Marie after his daughter, has lain idle in a remote area of New Mexico for more than 30 years.

The plane is still in extremely good condition despite the passage of time, despite its exterior losing its glamorous appeal and developing a faint red hue.

The lavish decor first strikes one as one enters this unique aviation history. Traditional oak paneling covers the inner walls, and the seating is covered in the most opulent crimson velvet one could imagine.

It’s impossible to resist but picture the King of Rock relaxing in one of these chairs while donning a beautiful pair of sunglasses and living it up.

There is a sizable, comfy seating area with enough for people to extend their legs while traveling.

A tiny kitchen is located behind the main dining area. Despite being modest, the kitchen is well equipped for food preparation and even features a vintage microwave.

Elvis used to make one of his famous sandwiches, a special blend of peanut butter, mayonnaise, bacon, and banana, which he would reheat in the microwave before devouring.

With the release of this album, Elvis cemented his position as the undisputed king of rock and roll and created a legacy of unmatched elegance and style.

The airplane bathroom is beautiful, but it might require more elegant features like velvet and a more high-end sink. It is still a vast improvement over the cramped restrooms on charter planes.

While seeking for the bathroom, I had the good fortune to see Elvis dressed for the holidays.

The winning price for the aircraft was $260,000 on January 8 at the Mecum Kissimmee Collector Car Auction in Florida.

The potential buyer decided to place their offers over the phone in secret. This sale is a big step for the aircraft, and we’re eager to see where it goes from here.
