Taylor Swift Is Shot Down By PETA For Visiting The Zoo

If there’s one thing that people are passionate about, it’s the animals in the world. It doesn’t matter if it is a special pet that lives in our home or if it is an animal that we would never see in the wild, people just seem to have a connection to them.

That is perhaps why it isn’t a surprise that one organization, PETA, has spoken out against Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for visiting the zoo. That organization, which is known to be very outspoken on animal-rights, didn’t have much good to say about their trip to the zoo in Sydney.

The celebrity couple was enjoying the day at the Sydney zoo. Swift, who is taking part in a tour that brought her to Australia must’ve been missing her boyfriend, Travis, because he flew down under to see her.

They wanted to spend some time with each other and they decided to go to one of the more popular tourist attractions in the area, the zoo in Sydney. It sounds like a fun time, but the Foundation Director of Captive Animal Welfare for PETA is not very happy.

She even referenced one of Swift’s songs from 2012, when she said: “While we understand all too well the appeal of seeing Australia’s wildlife, PETA hopes that next time Taylor and Travis want to see wild animals, they’ll spend their time and money at a true sanctuary.”

At a sanctuary, you are kept at a distance from the animals and you can’t touch or interact with them. Swift, however, was petting and even feeding some of the animals at the zoo.

She will only be in Australia for a few more days, but during that time, it seems as if she is making some waves. It isn’t just the fact that she had gone to a zoo, she uses her own private jet to fly around the world on tour and is considered the “biggest celebrity CO2 polluter.’

We don’t know where this one will go, but it’s an interesting ride.
