Shocking News About Actor Steve Martin

Steve Martin is an actor and comedian that has been a part of our lives for many years. From his early years joking with an arrow through his head to his later years and some serious movies, he always is entertaining.

He was born in 1945 in Waco, Texas. When he was younger, he wanted to be an actor but he made a living as a real estate salesman. He has one sister, Melinda who is older than he is.

Martin has quite a conglomerate of backgrounds, including being Welsh, Scottish, English, German, and French. He and his sister were raised in Inglewood, California and they were part of a Baptist family.

When Steve Martin was in high school, he was a cheerleader. He can remember being very young and seeing his father serving drinks at a theater on Melrose Place.

Despite the fact that he knew his father, his relationship with his father wasn’t all that it could have been. It has been said that his father was tough on the kids and not very emotionally open. When Martin was a teenager, he mostly hated his father.

Now that he is 78, he looks back on his life and sees things in a different way. He has chosen quite a path that has led to him being an entertainment to many of us, as his career spans some six decades.

Recently, there has been some conversation about Steve Martin going into retirement but now that he has a new show, Only Murders in the Building, it seems as if he is on the verge of a revival. He has won three Emmy nominations for his part in that show.

He got his start on Saturday Night Live and in stand-up comedy. His career went on to take him to extremely high places, and it seems as if he was always on the silver screen or on the television screen.

Some of the classics he is known for include, Cheaper by the Dozen, Pink Panther, and Father of the Bride. That is really only scratching the surface.

When talking about the decision to retire, he said there comes a point in your career when audiences can’t wait to see you. He said that he is the one that has to make the effort to show up at this point in his life.

Although there will come a day when he leaves the stage permanently, we look forward to anything he can do for us until then. His work never fails to entertain.
