Selena Gomez Shows The World Her Belly Rolls And Loves It

When somebody becomes a celebrity, they automatically are in the public eye. Any pictures that are taken of them are shared with the public and they rarely ever have the privacy they deserve.

One celebrity who knows about the invasion of privacy is Selena Gomez. She is in her young 30s, and she has had her share of problems over the years, especially when it comes to body shaming and social media.

Although you might think that these celebrities have nerves of steel, Selena has actually spoken about how hurtful it was when people lashed out about her weight. She would often hide her feelings the best possible, but now she is embracing who she really is.

According to Selena, the problems really began when she appeared on the cover of her album, Revival in 2015. She had a problem with the disapproval many people gave and the body shaming she experienced, so she started going to therapy at that time.

She is not shy about speaking about her difficulties she has at this point in her life. She had to have a kidney transplant and she struggles with lupus, and they have both impacted her well-being, weight, and health.

When she gave an interview in 2020, she spoke about how she fluctuates in her weight a lot. She also said that she had to learn to shrug off a lot of the comments when she was relatively young. Now, she admits: “I am happier, I am more present, I connect more with people.”

Ever since 2017, Selena has made the decision to go off-line. She spoke up against social media in 2019, saying that it is hurtful and frightening. She also claims that stepping away from the Internet changed her life for the good.

In a TikTok video she spoke about in order she placed from Jack-In-The-Box. She said: “So I be trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and I got 4 tacos, 3 egg rolls, onion rings, and a spicy chicken sandwich.” Then she continued, “But honestly, I don’t care about my weight…” And ended the video with, “I am perfect the way I am.”

These days, she is admitting that she lied when she posted body positive comments. She said: “I lied. I would go online and I would post a picture of myself and I would say, ‘It doesn’t matter. I’m not accepting what you’re saying. All the while, being in the room posting and crying my eyes out because nobody deserves to hear those things.”

Eventually, she was able to accept her body and she now appreciates it. She is no longer going to suck in her stomach and post photos that change people’s perception of her.

Perhaps she summed it up better when she said: “Not a model, never will be. Thanks for supporting me and understanding and, if not… go away.”
