Rod Stewart has revealed the passing of his second brother in the span of just over two months…

Rod Stewart is in mourning over the passing of his brothers Bob and Don, who passed away only two months apart from each other.

On Wednesday, the music legend and soccer superfan, who is 77 years old, announced the passing of his brother Bob on Instagram. He wrote, “It’s with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob last night, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky.”

“Over the course of a little over a month, I said goodbye to two of my closest friends. “R.I.P. Don and Bob, ‘irreplaceable comrades,’” he said, before signing off his tribute as “Sir Rod Stewart.”

Early in the month of September saw the passing of Don, Stewart’s oldest brother, and then on Wednesday, Bob.

On September 9, the artist who had previously won a Grammy penned in an Instagram post, “It has been a horrible 48 hours.” On Tuesday, my brother Don passed away at the age of 94, and today, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96.

“How sad… heartfelt sympathies to you all. Piers Morgan, a fellow Brit, posted on Twitter, “RIP Bob,” while David Foster responded, “My heartfelt condolences SRS.”

According to the L.A. Times, the British singer known as “Maggie May” is the youngest of five siblings, and she has two sisters named Peggy and Mary who are still alive.

In 2019, during Mary’s 90th birthday party, the family man, who has eight children of his own, spoke highly of his siblings and claimed that every one of the elder siblings had a hand in parenting him, as reported by The Sun. He praised his siblings for their contributions to his upbringing.

“I’ve got to tell you, these guys were essential in supporting me, helping me go into music, and just being there for me,” Stewart said. “I’ve got to tell you, these folks were instrumental in helping me get into music.” “I can’t talk highly enough about these men,” he added, adding that they had been “effing wonderful throughout my life,” whether it was football or washing his dirty underwear. “I can’t speak highly enough about these guys,” he continued.

“We’ve had our arguments haven’t we, Don? The occasional fistfight here and there, but know that I love you and I love you, Mary.”
