Trump Hits New High in Approval Ratings
A recent poll shows President Donald Trump enjoying strong approval as his second term continues. The Daily Mail and J.L. Partners reported that Trump now holds a 55% approval rating.
James Johnson, co-founder of J.L. Partners, said, “This is the highest approval figure we have ever shown for Donald Trump.” The poll reflects a six-point increase from a similar survey conducted in July.
The survey included 867 registered voters and ran from August 21 to September 1, with a 3.3% margin of error.
Positive News Cycle Boosts Support
Johnson noted that recent developments have helped Trump’s popularity. “It might seem surprising, but the news cycle has been ace for the president in recent days. His crime surge in DC is backed by the public, and economic news has been positive,” he said.
A June Harvard-Harris poll also showed Trump’s strongest approval on immigration issues.
Approval Across Key Issues
The J.L. Partners survey listed approval ratings on major policy areas. Trump received:
-
44% approval on the economy, compared to 37% for former President Joe Biden in January.
-
80% approval for deporting illegal immigrants with criminal records, including 88% of Republicans, 80% of independents, and 72% of Democrats.
In August, an Associated Press poll reported Trump’s job approval at 45%, marking a personal record high.
Administration Highlights
White House officials emphasized the results of Trump’s America First agenda. They highlighted record-breaking tariff revenues, border security improvements, and revitalization efforts in the nation’s capital, arguing that bold leadership delivers results.
Vice President Vance in the Spotlight
Breitbart News recently reported a poll showing Vice President JD Vance defeating Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) in seven battleground states in a theoretical matchup. The survey followed Trump’s statement suggesting that Vance could be the “heir apparent” to lead the MAGA movement.
