It can be challenging to fly these days, as you never know what is going to happen to alter the flight. Some people even have stress over the situation, but we have another reason for you to be stressed today.

An American Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing after reports came from passengers. According to those reports, a woman on the plane had head lice and when passengers saw the lice crawling on her head, they reported it to the crew.

A TikTok user reported this but also stated that the airline didn’t give any information as to why the emergency landing took place. He ended up finding out more about the situation through word-of-mouth.

When he realized that the plane was turning around, he spoke to the guy next to him. That passenger told him that that announcement took place about a need to ground because of a medical emergency.

“I look around, no one’s, like, on the ground, no one’s freaking out. I’m like, it can’t be that dire,” he stated. “But we land, and as soon as we land this woman across the aisle from me, like, shoots up and, like, rushes to the front of the plane.”

The passengers were confused as to what was taking place and assumed that the woman was just wanting to get off the plane. The flight crew assured them that they would be given more information.

After the passengers left the plane, they were told that the flight would take off again in 12 hours. A hotel voucher and $12 of spending money was given to each of the passengers. Apparently, there were two women who seemed to have a knowledge of what was going on but they were cryptic in their responses.

“They were like, ‘Let’s just say it was in the best interest of everyone here that they did this. It’s for the safety of the plane,” they said.

On the following day, he heard from other passengers that the plane was grounded because of the lice outbreak. Apparently, the girls who said it was for the safety of the plane saw the bugs crawling out of her hair the day before.

After alerting the flight attendant to what took place, the plane made an emergency landing. Those two women were given their original seats but they refused to sit in them so they swapped out with someone else. Ethan said he didn’t feel that the other passengers knew what was going on.
