People Are Hating On Bride Who Wore A Sheer Wedding Dress To Her Church Wedding

The wedding day is one of the most important days of our life. We may prepare for months for the big day to occur and when it does happen, we want everything to be absolutely perfect.

Unfortunately, there are going to be times when people don’t like the decisions that we make in regard to our wedding. Despite the fact that they don’t have a right to speak up, they will often do so with no remorse.

That recently happened when a bride chose a wedding gown that got a lot of negative comments. As an influencer from Denmark, Pernille Rosenkilde was accustomed to dealing with negativity, but this seemed to take her by surprise.

The problem with her dress is that many people felt that it was inappropriate. As it turns out, she designed her own dress that featured a feathered vest over a sheer maxi skirt and leotard. Many people thought that she did not make the right choice for the dignity of the church wedding.

When she posted the pictures on Instagram, they were stolen and posted on a wedding shaming page on Facebook. People had opinions and they weren’t afraid to give them.

One person accused her of coming to a house of prayer in her underwear. Another one simply said it was an awkward and ugly outfit with granny panties underneath.

The bride went on Instagram to address the negativity. She said: “It’s so crazy to have a dress drawing attention from 4 different Vogue magazines and also getting quite a few hateful comments due to the sheer skirt.

“Maybe people think we’re still in the Middle Ages but hey I designed my dream dress. I hand dyed the feathers in tea and made small bouquets of them and hand sewed them to the top of the dress. It took something like a month of work and wow it was worth it.”

Pernille also gave an interview to Vogue Scandinavia, where she said: “I love wearing feathers and see-through fabrics, but I also wanted the dress to be elegant, classy and a bit sexy.”

Many of the comments were negative but there were also some who supported her. I guess it’s a matter of not being able to please everyone all of the time.
