According to NDTV, Idris disclosed in the post that he never revealed his true profession to his daughters. When questioned, he would simply tell them that he worked as a laborer. To lend credibility to his statement, he would even bathe in a public toilet before returning home in the evening.

For days and months, Idris strived to shield his daughters from the truth while saving every penny he could for their education. He desired nothing more than to see them standing with dignity and respect in front of others, free from the judgment he himself endured. “I never wanted anyone to look down at them like everyone looked down at me. People always humiliated me,” he expressed in the Facebook post.

A Revelation and Acts of Kindness

Eventually, the time came when Idris decided to reveal his closely-guarded secret to his daughters. The moment was marked by an incident where he failed to arrange funds for his daughter’s college admission. However, his compassionate coworkers stepped forward and offered him their one-day income, even willing to go hungry to ensure his daughter could pursue her education. Overwhelmed by their support, Idris accepted their generous gesture.

In a poignant reflection, Idris recounts, “That day I didn’t take a shower. That day I went home like a cleaner.”

Idris’s perseverance bore fruit as his daughter nears completion of her university education. In a heartwarming turn of events, his daughters have also taken up part-time jobs to relieve their father from the need to work.

Acknowledging the kindness shown to him, Idris’s eldest daughter accompanies him to his workplace and offers food to his coworkers as a gesture of gratitude.

Idris concludes by saying, “Nowadays, I don’t feel I am a poor man. Whoever has such children, how can he be poor?”

“Wednesday afternoon I was driving west on I-40 when my blood sugar dropped to a dangerous level. Luckily a Burger King restaurant was at the upcoming exit. As I stumbled through placing my order I mentioned to the voice on the speaker that I was diabetic and in need of food. Low blood sugar makes it difficult to think or act. I pulled up to the first window in order to pay for my food. I was shocked to see Burger King employee Tina Hardy running toward the front of my car.
She squeezed between the front of my car and the building just to bring me a small serving of ice cream. Tina later explained that her husband was also diabetic and she could tell that I needed help. After paying I pulled up to Tina’s window where she gave me my food. She instructed me to park across the driveway so that she could keep an eye on me until I felt better. After eating I waited for a break in business so that I could return to Tina’s window. I then took this picture and spoke with Tina’s supervisor, telling him what she did for me.
