Nicole Kidman Pushes Salma Hayek During Tense Moment At Balenciaga Fashion Show

Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek appeared to have an awkward interaction at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week on September 30.

A video surfaced online showing the “Big Little Lies” actress, 57, seemingly brushing away Hayek’s hand, 58, as they posed for photos alongside Katy Perry.

As a photographer requested “one more” shot, Hayek attempted to adjust Kidman, who had her back to the camera, by using her hand to turn her towards the flashing lights. In response, the “Moulin Rouge!” star grabbed Hayek’s hand and pushed it away.

After that brief moment, Kidman kissed Perry and exchanged a few words with Hayek before walking off. The exact conversation between the two actresses isn’t clear, but after Kidman walked away, Hayek remarked, “Yes please. Advice.”

A voice, likely Kidman’s, responded with, “You don’t need it,” to which Hayek replied, “I do.” Following this, Hayek continued posing for photos with Perry, who seemed more engaged in the photo session.

For the event, Kidman was dressed in a black turtleneck dress paired with sheer tights, stilettos, and sunglasses, while Hayek opted for a black gown with a plunging neckline.

This marked Kidman’s first public appearance since the passing of her mother, Janelle Anne Kidman, in early September. The “Cold Mountain” star had shared the news of her mother’s death just hours before she was honored with the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in “Babygirl.”

As a tribute to her late mother, Kidman posted on Instagram, writing, “My sister and I along with our family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week.”

“Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express,” she added. “Thank you from our whole family for respecting our privacy as we take care of each other.”

Rather than attending the festival, Kidman returned to Australia to be with her family.

Two weeks after Janelle’s passing, Kidman’s husband, country singer Keith Urban, gave a family update during an interview with The Times of London, saying, “Yeah, everybody’s good, man.”
