Justice Barrett Decries ‘Political Discourse’ Following Kirk Assassination

Justice Amy Coney Barrett called the assassination of Charlie Kirk a tragedy that highlights how far political discourse has deteriorated in the U.S.

Speaking with Hugh Hewitt, she described the murder of the 31-year-old activist as “sobering for the nation,” warning that a culture of hostility can fuel political violence. Barrett urged Americans to follow Kirk’s example of engaging opponents in debate rather than tearing them down, stressing that verbal attacks too often spill into something far more dangerous.
