Adam was Jen’s father. He always believed that Jen’s boyfriend Matt was not good enough for her daughter. Since the first time they met, Adam never liked Matt, and always criticised him.

Matt was in love with Jen, and he was keen on keeping Adam away from their relationship, no matter how many times he tried to ruin their relationship.

Jen would say to Matt that her father would come around and one day he will accept him. She told her boyfriend that when her sister got engaged, he did the same thing to her brother-in-law.

Despite Adam was trying his best to ruin their relationship, the rest of the family loved Matt.

They were having dinner at Jen’s parents’ house. She was planning to propose as the whole family were in there. He was saving for months for the ring he wanted for Jen.

Then he noticed that Adam was constantly grinning at him. That made Matt discomforted, as he was sure that Adam had something in his mind.

As Matt was about to propose, Adam stand up. “Before the night slipped away from us, I want to share something with you all!”

“Few days ago, Matt was seen with another woman. They were in a very intimate situation. Here are the pictures!”

Then the TV turned on, and Matt was shocked to see himself sitting with a woman in an intimate position.

“Dad, I don’t know what your problem is, but this is ridiculous!” Jen said as she thought that her father forged these images.

As Matt had enough, he revealed that he was going to propose to Jen tonight, but after this, he needed to rethink his decision.

He walked out of the dinner and left home.

While he was out of the house, Jen revealed that the woman in the pictures was Matt’s sister from their dinner together. Jen stated that if her father’s photographer was five minutes late, she would be in the pictures too.

After Jen and her mother yelled at Adam, which they explained that he was ruining his daughter’s life and that if he doesn’t fix what he broke immediately that he had to live alone in the house. They threatened leaving him alone.

In half an hour, Matt’s door was knocked in panic. When he opened the door, he found Adam in front of him. He was on his knees, he was apologizing and begging him to return and propose to his daughter once again.

He swore that he will never intervene in their relationship ever again.

Adam finally understood that he was not protecting his daughter, but he was ruining her life for she was in love with a man who would love and protect her no matter what. He even tried to protect his future-wife against his father.
