The emotional footage, posted by @rawsalerts, shows the blonde conservative leader in a sparkling gown appearing shaken, her face streaked with tears as she clutches a clutch purse and is guided away from the chaotic scene.
The moment unfolded shortly after reports of suspected gunshots or loud bangs prompted the rapid evacuation of President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other dignitaries. Secret Service agents drew weapons and cleared the ballroom, with guests ducking for cover.
A gunman was reportedly taken down near the venue’s metal detectors. No injuries were reported among attendees or protectees, and the Secret Service later confirmed everyone was safe. The annual black-tie event was abruptly canceled.
Kirk, 37, became chairwoman and CEO of Turning Point USA following the assassination of her husband, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, in September 2025.
