Jeric had just received his diploma from La Concepcion College in the Philippines, surrounded by his classmates. However, there was a significant absence in the crowd – his family. This wasn’t the first time they had let him down. Jeric remembered a time in elementary school when he had won an award. His family was supposed to be there to see him receive the medal on stage, but they didn’t show up. It was a heartbreaking moment for him.

But Jeric didn’t let this lack of support deter him. He remained positive and focused on his education, even though he had to work hard and support himself. And his efforts paid off. Despite the absence of his family, Jeric successfully graduated with a degree in criminology.

On his graduation day, Jeric couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness as he saw his classmates surrounded by their loved ones. He couldn’t understand why his family wasn’t there to support him. Overwhelmed by his emotions, Jeric found himself crying on the side of the room. However, in that moment of despair, one of his professors came to his side. They hugged, and Jeric realized that he had someone by his side as he received his diploma.

Jeric took to social media to express his gratitude to everyone who had supported him throughout his school years, including his family. He acknowledged that while they may not have been physically present, the support he received from others, such as his professor and friends’ parents, was invaluable.

It is disheartening when the people closest to us aren’t there to witness our accomplishments. However, Jeric’s story serves as a reminder that support can come from unexpected places. Whether it’s a teacher, a mentor, or a friend’s parent, their belief in us can make all the difference.
