Brittany Mahomes reveals terrifying ordeal after 8-month-old son rushed to ER

Now, while we do our utmost to ensure our babies are healthy all the time, they can and likely will find themselves in situations that are unspeakably terrifying for those who love them.

NFL star Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany know this all too well, as they were recently forced to rush their 8-month-old son, Patrick ‘Bronze’ Mahomes III, to the ER.

According to reports, Brittany took to Instagram last Thursday, August 17 to offer an update after she and Patrick learned in a most traumatizing way that their son was “highly allergic” to peanuts.

Baby Patrick, set to turn 9 months old later this week, was born on November 28, 2022, and has been the subject of a number of adorable social posts made by his mother over the past month as their family enjoyed their holidays during the NFL off-season.

In an update last week, however, Brittany updated her followers on social media after what she said was the “scariest 30min of life.”

Her Instagram story featured a photo of baby “Bronze” drinking from a bottle, along with the text: “We took a very scary and frantic trip to the ER yesterday after finding out this guy is highly highly allergic to peanuts.”

Fortunately, baby Patrick now appears to be okay and the ordeal was a brief one, but nevertheless I think we can all sympathize with his mother and father after what must have been an extremely stressful experience.

Bronze is Patrick and Brittany’s second child, after they welcomed daughter Sterling Sky two years ago. The couple, who have been an item since their high school days, married in Hawaii last year.

As per Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), more than 33 million Americans live with a food allergy of some kind, while over six million are allergic to peanuts to varying degrees.

Common symptoms of a food allergy include an itchy mouth, hives or rash, tightening of the throat and difficulty breathing, swelling, wheezing, and dizziness. Parents are advised to take their child to the ER if they spot any of these symptoms.

What a terrifying ordeal to have to go through. I’m glad Patrick and Brittany’s son is now safe and well.
