Former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, a man who has seen more football seasons than most of us have seen tax returns, has reportedly been dating a 24-year-old cheerleader named Jordon Hudson for over a year. And yes, if you did the math quickly, that means Belichick is 72. Age is just a number, right?
Confirming our suspicions, PEOPLE has reported that Belichick and Hudson have been an item for quite some time now. Hudson, a former cheerleader at Bridgewater State University, has been the center of attention alongside the ex-NFL coach during many public outings.
In case you thought this was just a rumor, the gossip mill TMZ first spilled the beans on this juicy tidbit, and we all know TMZ never exaggerates. The age difference didn’t go unnoticed by Belichick’s former players, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, who brought out the roast marshmallows during Netflix’s live special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.
Gronkowski couldn’t resist, saying, “Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked. But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.” Ouch, Gronk! That one smarts.
Brady, not one to miss out on making fun of his old coach, added, “When somebody asked me which ring was my favorite, I used to say, ‘The next one,’” he said. “Now that I’m retired, my favorite is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m. a few months ago.” Savage, Brady. But let’s rewind a bit. Before Hudson, there was Linda Holliday, Belichick’s girlfriend of 16 years. According to a source from PEOPLE, their longtime relationship came to a halt in September 2023. What went wrong, you ask? The insiders claim it wasn’t something new but rather issues that had been simmering for a while.
Holliday had been with Belichick since 2007 and even served as the president of his Bill Belichick Foundation. “They have issues to clear up that come from a long relationship as well as her role in his professional life,” the insider said. One can only imagine the balancing act between coaching duties and personal life.
