American Pickers star Danielle Colby is in shock. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing.

Danielle Colby, star of “American Pickers,” has lost someone very close to her just days after her dream wedding to Jeremy Scheuch.

The famous person from History Channel got married last weekend in Puerto Rico in a ceremony straight out of a fairy tale.

In a sad post on social media Tuesday, Danielle, 48, said that her father-in-law had died.

The reality star posted a picture of herself with “Papa John,” her new husband Jeremy’s father.

The TV star and her partner were sitting on the front porch with their small dog in his arms when the picture was taken.

Danielle, her husband, and his mother and Papa John sat next to them. They died suddenly after the wedding.

In a long letter to Jeremy’s dad, she said, “Papa John…you spent your life fighting for and making miracles happen for the most vulnerable kids in your community.”

“The first time I met you, you and your elves had turned an airplane hangar into the North Pole to make a little girl with cancer’s dream come true. You made her feel hopeful, calm, and excited. Similar to what you gave us.”

“You have always been there for me and believed in me even when I didn’t.” I believe in myself too. You saw the good in me even when other people might not have. She gushed, “You held me gently in your heart and let me open up to you.”

“That takes me some time, as we all know. It took you many thousands of miles to come be with us, and you let us into your home when we needed your magic to help us get through hard times, Danielle said.

“You’ve always loved strongly and cared a lot.” Holidays, especially Christmas, were not a big part of my childhood. You helped me understand them better. You never used these times to get something for yourself. Instead, you used them to give others the chance to benefit from your love, acceptance, and kindness.

I finally let you in all of my feelings after years of holding back. Some of my favorite memories are with you, your family, and your son Jeremy, who is so much like you in so many ways.

“That made me so happy. Without you there, it was hard to move forward with this wedding. When little things reminded us of you, we cried so many times.

“Little magical moments that we had never experienced before, but suddenly the entire week of our wedding was filled with the most unexplainable magic in our surroundings, and the people who came to be with us, and the love we have for each other.”

You were with us every second, even though you were trying to get better thousands of miles away. You saw every sunrise and sunset. For every hug and party. I feel you everywhere, even though you’re not here with me. In every single place. She ended by saying, “Now rest.”

WHAT JEREMY WROTE

In honor of the person he lost, Danielle’s husband Jeremy also shared a post with a picture of himself as a child.

The American Pickers star’s husband was only a child in the old picture, which was taken in the front yard with a much younger Papa John.

The artist who was retired looked like a tiny child in the picture. He was wearing a small red jacket to keep warm.

“That was my dad. Say hello to John Scheuch. He died on February 19, 2024, after being born on June 28, 1953. Dearest dad, you were the best person I could have asked for. “I’m heartbroken,” Jeremy wrote under his picture.

“I don’t even know what to say right now,” he wrote in the comments. Despite everything, I’m thankful to have the best wife by my side.

“My heart hurts so much for you and your family right now,” Danielle wrote in a message to her husband below. Amazingly, he made dreams come true for people who were most in need.

“He taught me a lot about showing kindness and making room for other people.” “I feel him everywhere, but most of all when I’m with you.”

“Thank you for bringing Papa John into my life and the lives of my kids,” said she.

Over the weekend, Danielle and Jeremy got married in a beautiful ceremony in Puerto Rico. They had been together for six years and were engaged for almost four years.
