A Beloved Actress From White Christmas Dies When ‘Unexpected Accident’ Took Place Near Her Home

The loss of anyone is a very sad thing, but there are times when we may know them from some of our favorite movies, and in that case, it can impact thousands or perhaps even millions of people.

Anne Whitfield was well known because of the role that she played on White Christmas. She is well known as Susan Waverley in that movie and unfortunately, she passed away at the age of 85.

According to her family, she was out for a walk near Washington DC where she has and experienced an ‘unexpected accident.’ There has not yet been any indication as to what the accident may be, but the fact that it took her life is a sadness we are dealing with.

After the unnamed accident, she was sent to Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima, Washington. Her family was by her side at the time that she passed away. They said: “The life of Anne Langham Whitfield Phillips was a beautiful one, with every second used to uplift the world and those around her.”

“Through the kindness of neighbors who provided expert medical support, family had the gift to say goodbye and express love and gratitude, a gift we will always cherish.”

According to her death notice, “Annie was able to watch White Christmas with her family during the holidays in December, which was the movie’s 70th anniversary.

“Annie was a great actor, but Los Angeles didn’t have enough trees for her, so in the 1970s she left Hollywood for a new life “up north.”

“During this change, Annie became deeply committed to causes that support peace and protect the environment.”

“Annie worked hard as an activist and community organizer after she “retired,” right up until the day she died.

“Annie’s three children and seven grandchildren were the most important things in her life.”

“She was beloved by her family, who were always her first priority.” .

She began her acting career as a child when she played on radio plays. She continued to act when she went to college and eventually, she began working in the theater.

Before long, she had a number of small parts on television and then played the lead in the musical comedy White Christmas when she was only 15 years old. It is the role she is most known for.
