Nicole Kidman’s Spiritual Side

Nicole Kidman, the celebrated Australian actress, opens up about her spiritual side and her regular visits to church with her family. Despite facing teasing from her friends, Kidman remains committed to teaching her two children, Sunday and Faith, about the importance of having faith in God.

Kidman, who grew up in an Irish Catholic household, credits her grandmother for instilling religious values in her. Prayer was a significant part of her upbringing, and she continues to practice her religion today. However, she emphasizes that her belief in God does not mean she is absolutist or judgmental. Instead, she values tolerance above everything else, a lesson her father always emphasized.

In a 2018 interview with Allure magazine, Kidman revealed that at one point, she even considered becoming a nun. While she didn’t pursue that path, the idea of a life dedicated to spirituality intrigued her. This deep connection with her spirituality has remained with her throughout the years, and today, she is passing it on to her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Despite facing teasing from friends, Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, continue to attend church as a family. While Urban may have his own beliefs, he joins Kidman and their children in their spiritual journey. Kidman acknowledges that her choices as a parent, such as not allowing her daughters to have phones or Instagram accounts, might make her unpopular, but she believes in setting boundaries for their well-being.

Apart from her children with Keith Urban, Kidman also has two adopted children with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. Even though Connor and Isabelle decided to follow their father’s religion, Kidman’s love for them remains unwavering. She keeps her relationship with her children private but emphasizes that she would do anything for them.

In addition to their primary home in Nashville, Kidman and Urban own various properties around the world, including a farmhouse in Australia, a penthouse in Sydney, a condo in New York, and a mansion in Los Angeles. This affluence allows them to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle while openly expressing their beliefs and values.

Nicole Kidman’s story reminds us of the importance of spirituality in one’s life. It teaches us that we can embrace our faith while also valuing tolerance and understanding. By prioritizing these values, we can live harmoniously with others, regardless of their beliefs.
