The lifeless body of an unidentified young woman has been discovered in a hotel located in the Igbogene area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday, has sparked concern among residents of the area.

Community sources told PUNCH Metro that the deceased had checked into the hotel with a young man suspected to be an internet fraudster, commonly referred to as a ‘Yahoo boy’.

However, shortly after they arrived, the man reportedly left the premises, leaving the woman behind.

The hotel manager is said to have found the young woman’s body and immediately reported the incident to the Igbogene Divisional Police Headquarters. Read more below
