choices, quietly stepping up, or making a difference in someone’s life when it mattered most. We chose a few real-life instances where someone’s actions were so memorable that they stuck in their mind forever.

Story 1: A woman pressed a sanitary pad into my hand while I was with my boyfriend. You need this, she said. I checked in the bathroom to make sure I wasn’t on my period. There was a strange feeling. Two words appeared in shaky red ink and frantic writing when I opened the pad: “Google him.”
