My Neighbor Painted an Insult on My Lawn, So I Taught Him a Lesson He Won’t Forget

It all started in the kind of neighborhood where neighbors smile and lawns gleam—until Tim moved in next door. At first, he seemed fine. Friendly, even. But when I refused to lend him my driveway, things turned ugly. He blocked me in repeatedly, ignored my warnings, and finally, vandalized my lawn with bright orange paint: “SELFISH JERK.”

I was furious. The police couldn’t help. But I could.

With the help of my brother, a landscaper with a wicked sense of humor, we installed a sprinkler system laced with harmless, chalk-based blue dye. The next morning, Tim and his dog got absolutely soaked in front of the entire neighborhood. His expression? Priceless.

He stormed over later, still stained and fuming. “What are you going to do, Tim?” I said calmly. “Call the cops over water?” He walked away without a word. Since then? No driveway stunts, no vandalism—just silence.

Moral of the story?
Sometimes, the best revenge isn’t cruel—it’s clever. Stand your ground, protect your peace, and let karma arrive with a splash of color.
