A coffin with a gift bow was brought to our wedding during the ceremony — I nearly fainted when it opened

When her wedding day arrived, Sarah was both excited and nervous. She put a lot of effort to make it the most memorable day of her life. From the venue, to the menu and her dream wedding gown, she hoped everything would turn out perfect.

Her husband-to-be was an exceptional man and she couldn’t wait to say “I do” to him and spend her eternity by his side.

As her father placed his arm around her, he assured her that the day would be just as beautiful as she has always imagined. With tears of joy appearing in her eyes, she took him by the hand and the two walked down the aisle.

There, with a glimpse in his eyes, looking straight at her, was the man of her dreams. “The day couldn’t get any better,” she thought to herself with every step she took.

She had prepared her vows long before he proposed, and just as she was about to say them out loud for the world to hear them, she noticed a group of people heading toward them from a distance, carrying something. As they approached, she realized it was a coffin. And it had a bow on it.

She thought to herself that it had to be a joke. The guests were shocked.

At that moment, one of her fiance’s friends approached the coffin, that one friend who always made stupid pranks and acted as though he was still at high school.

He lifted the lid and took out of the coffin a photo of Jason, the groom. He then started laughing together with the rest of the friends.

It was their way to show that once Jason tied the knot, he would be “dead” to them, like in no more beer nights and hanging around as usual.

Jason, knowing how silly his friend is, started laughing as well. The laughter spread among the guests who found the situation humorous and understood the friend’s message.

Sarah was relieved. She wasn’t mad, because despite the craziness of that prank, it made the entire experience even more memorable.

She and Jason proceeded to say their vows to each other, and their wedding day was a momentous occasion that people reminisced about for weeks.
