Kevin Bacon Lost Millions And Retreated To A Farm Where He Sings To The Animals

Most people are familiar with Kevin Bacon because of the role that he played in some iconic movies and because of his long time relationship with his wife, Keira Sedgwick. Most people may not know, however, things haven’t always been perfect for him.

Back in the 1980s and 90s, Kevin Bacon was famous for playing in movies such as Footloose, Apollo 13, and Friday the 13th. It seemed as if everything he did was only taking him in the right direction but there was a problem brewing in the background that nobody could have foreseen.

Bacon spoke about the details of his financial upset that caused him to lose millions of dollars. You see, he had entrusted the majority of his wealth to Bernie Madoff, the man responsible for a Ponzi scheme that cost an estimated $64.8 million.

He said: “We had most of our money in Madoff.” Although he didn’t say exactly how much he lost, it seems as if it may have been as much as $30 million.

Things went downhill when the Ponzi scheme was revealed in 2009 and Madoff was sent to prison with 11 federal felonies. He had defrauded many of his clients and left them in financial ruin. He ended up dying in prison at the age of 82.

Bacon and his wife, Keira Sedgwick, decided that they would do their best to keep going in the face of such difficulties. They decided to face the challenge in the best way they could.

He spoke about how they had suffered losses but there were others who had been in worse situations. Many people lost their entire fortune, including their retirement fund.

Instead of accepting defeat, they decided to go to Western Connecticut to a piece of land where they could take up farming and adventure. It was a trip to more of a rural destination, but it is something that they really needed.

Kevin Bacon has always been fascinated with horses but it wasn’t until they visited Connecticut that it really took hold. They ended up finding an old rundown farmhouse and it is now theirs.

Over the years, they have expanded the property and made it a beautiful place to live. They spent a lot of time hanging out with the goats and other animals on the farm, even serenading them.

They may have suffered some difficult times in their life but now they are enjoying time with each other in one of the most peaceful places you can imagine.
