An arrest put Chumlee’s freedom on the line. Police said a search of the Pawn Stars personality’s home uncovered weapons and drugs, but the investigation that brought officers there did not lead to a sexual assault charge. After bail came a reported legal lifeline that could ultimately determine his future, with possible prison time hanging over one crucial cond

Russell, known to Pawn Stars viewers as Chumlee, was arrested on March 9 after police searched his home during a sexual assault investigation. Authorities reported finding 12 weapons, marijuana, a small amount of methamphetamine, and prescription Xanax. The weapons reportedly included handguns, rifles, and an MP5. Russell, 33 at the time, posted $62,000 bail. He was not charged in the sexual assault case—a distinction separate from the reported weapons and drug discoveries.

According to the Fox News account cited in the report, the criminal case could be dropped if Russell remained trouble-free; otherwise, he faced two to five years in state prison. Another court appearance concerning his plea was expected. His attorney, David Chesnoff, said Russell wanted to move forward and that questions about the search’s legality would be addressed in court. The network airing Pawn Stars indicated it would let the judicial process unfold rather than announce an immediate response.
