Against that already intense geopolitical backdrop, a separate story began spreading rapidly online: dramatic claims about Trump’s physical health.

The rumors quickly gained momentum across social media platforms, where short clips, photographs, anonymous claims, and sensational headlines were shared as supposed evidence that something serious was happening behind the scenes. Some posts focused on Trump’s movement while using aircraft stairs or walking during public appearances. Others went significantly further, suggesting that isolated moments were evidence of an undisclosed medical problem.

More extreme versions of the story alleged that a White House physician had privately revealed a hidden diagnosis or had placed their career at risk by disclosing information about the president’s condition.

Those allegations, however, require an important distinction between what has actually been documented and what has merely circulated online.
