Candace Cameron Bure Announces That She’s Leaving the Hallmark Channel After 14 Years.

Candace Cameron Bure got her big break as an actress on the show “Full House.” She was only a child at the time, but that show was the start of a long acting career. Besides “Fuller House,” the Netflix reboot of the show that made her famous, Cameron Bure has also started in dozens of movies for Hallmark Channel. Cameron Bure has been working with Hallmark Channel for 14 years. Her very first project with the channel was the Christmas movie “Moonlight & Mistletoe” back in 2008.

All good things must come to an end, and Cameron Bure’s time at Hallmark Channel is one of those things. The actress has decided to move on. She will no longer be in Hallmark Channel movies. That means no movie Christmas movies staring Cameron Bure. It also means an end to “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries” on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Cameron Bure is far from retiring. At age 46, she is simply making a decision to give her time and energy to a different company. She decided to take the lead of several other long-time actresses for Hallmark Channel and move over to GAC.

GAC used to stand for Great American Country, but it has since been rebranded as Great American Channels. GAC currently airs both “Full House” and “Fuller House,” so Cameron Bure is already a familiar face at the network.

According to a statement, Cameron Bure will be creating and staring in content for GAC Family and GAC Living. This will also include creating seasonal content for the networks. We can only assume there will be more Christmas movies in Cameron Bure’s future. According to the statement she will “play a key role in the company’s annual Great American Christmas franchise.”

In the statement, Cameron Bure shared that she feels GAC fits her brand. She explained, “I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch.” She added, “I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose. GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family. Great, quality entertainment with a positive message is what my partnership with GAC is all about!”
