Her Husband Made Her Choose Between Him And The Dogs: Goodbye Husband

When we get married, it is for better or for worse. We do our best to stick things out and deal with the bad times, but sometimes things are just too much for us to handle.

Liz Haslam thought that she had married the love of her life but she now lives alone, at least when it comes to living with other humans. You see, she loves dogs, and that is where our story begins.

Liz rescued bull Terriers and owned half an acre of land where she boarded the dogs when necessary. She also had a two-bedroom farmhouse on the property and she lived with her husband, Mike, in the house.

Her organization, Beds for Bullies can handle up to 30 bull Terriers at one time. Each of those dogs requires special care, and she may spend up to 18 hours a day taking care of them and making sure they have what they need.

The problem is, Mike had enough of the dogs so he gave his wife an ultimatum. Either he goes or the dogs go, and they had already lived 25 years together and had a 22-year-old son.

Liz didn’t need to think much about it. She decided to stick with the dogs because she knew that it was what made her happy. She also knew that nobody else would care for the dogs like she did.

After making the decision, she said: “I haven’t seen or heard from him since. I thought after 25 years, he should know giving up the dogs was not what my intentions were.”

“He’d got to the point where he’d had enough and wanted to slow down. But I wasn’t prepared to give it up. So he decided to go”

They were very much in love when they got married in 1991. She thought she was marrying the perfect man but when he turned a bad corner, she was quick to say goodbye.
